The technology of canned food has two key characteristics: sealing and sterilization.

However, not all foods packed in sealed containers can be called canned food, such as bottled fermented bean curd, sauce, honey, canned milk powder, Coca Cola and so on.

Canned food has the characteristics of long shelf life, convenient eating, safety and health, nutrition and health. The invention of canned food has a history of nearly 200 years. Its technology is mature and its consumer market is all over the world. China's canning industry began in the early days of the founding of new China. From the war to resist US aggression and aid Korea to the early days of reform and opening up, it has made important contributions to China's export and economic construction. At present, China has become a major producer and exporter of canned food in the world, and canned food is still China's main export processed food.
